Claims and Labelling

The beauty industry has its own set of regulations we must adhere to with raw materials, formulation and packaging. There are banned materials and things we must declare to the consumer and authorities, whether that is mandatory labelling such as INCI lists, PAO information, contact details, safety and allergen information or the fill volume to help the consumer make an informed decision or notifying the authorities in each territory what products contain. In addition each product requires a PIF, any manufacturer we work with will provide a PIF as part of the development process but we can have this created for any customers entering from overseas markets. We will help our clients meet their legal obligations.

Nominated Responsible Person

Key amongst these obligations is the nomination of a responsible person and notifications and submissions to the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal or UK Cometic Products Notification Service that all cosmetics products in the UK and European Union must undertake. We can fulfil this role for our clients, whether we have been involved in the development form the start or they based outside Europe and simply require the services of a responsible person.

Accreditations

In addition to the legal obligations we must follow, our clients may wish to seek an accreditation from many of the certifying bodies that give credence to their claims or form an important part of the brand identity and brand plan. Claims that deal with sustainability such as ecovadis, ethics such as B Corp, anti-cruelty such as Beauty Without Bunnies (PETA), natural and organic bodies like Soil Association and COSMOS, accreditations that assure the consumer of geographic origin like “Made In Britain” we can help you to achieve your desired accreditations.
